Floral Sampler Pack Cut Files – Free at Scrapbook.com

As an affiliate for Scrapbook.com, I was offered the Floral Sampler Pack free in advance so I could make projects to share, but you can get this exclusive new set of cut files free with purchase this week! This is the first set of digital files for cutting with electronic die cuts that SB.com is coming out with, and after using this one, I can’t wait to see what they come up with!

This is a great week to be shopping on Scrapbook.com, as there are freebies every single day leading up to World Cardmaking Day!

I was really excited to get started. I have 3 different electronic cutters, but for SVG files I usually turn to my Silhouette Cameo since it’s always out and ready to use. And I found out something. Without purchasing the designer version of the software, I couldn’t use these files! I didn’t really want to have to spend $49.95 to upgrade, so I searched for another way, and I found it, absolutely free, here.

Once I had converted the files using the Inkscape software, I had no problem opening them in the basic Silhouette software. I did this card at the absolute last minute, and I managed to get this done in record time despite some computer issues I was having. That is one thing I like having an electronic die cutter for. Sometimes, getting a card made quickly is absolutely necessary. Lookie:

I have some great paper pads from Jilibean Soup, one called All About Dots and another All About Plaid. I used the plaid one for the first layer, and then I cut the floral overlay using one of the files from the pack with some Neenah Solar White to lay over the top. I then recut the file from the yellow polka dot from All About Dots and trimmed out the circles to place on top of the circles on the white piece. And for a little extra, I punched a circle from the orange polka dot for the biggest flower.

I accented a little further with some Doodlebug Design Lily White Glitter Sprinkles. It’s simple, it’s clean, and honestly, while I can think of lots of ways I could do techniques with these files, just banging out a quick card got me great results! I’m looking forward to playing with more files from the Floral Sampler pack!

Below are links to the products I used. I participate in Scrapbook.com’s affiliate program, so your purchase made through these links costs you nothing extra and remits to me a percentage of your purchase. I sincerely appreciate your support!
