Hero Arts Color Layering Village
I bought this set, Color Layering Village, when I placed my last order with Hero Arts and I had a lot of fun playing with it. I’ve had this card made for a while, it’s just getting the time to sit down and blog it has been hard to do! My middle kid graduated from college last week, and I’ve been doing a lot of celebrating and errand running in conjunction with all of that.
GOJUS! It took me a couple of tries to get this looking right because the house are actually one stamp and its shadow that puzzle pieces together. The shadow has to be ABSOLUTELY clean between changing colors, and the thing that works the best for that is Hero Arts own Ultimate Stamp cleaner, and I had run out of it!!! I have some coming my way, hopefully soon, but I had to actually use a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser on the stamp (it did work but I wouldn’t do that every time) to get the last vestiges of the ink off.
I used all Ombre pads from Hero Arts, and my changing the direction I inked the stamp, I could get different looks. Otherwise, I kept it very simple! I put in the sky with Life-Changing Brushes using the light side of the Pool to Navy pad.
I love how this turned out!
Below is my list of products that I used, and I have used compensated affiliate links where they were available, as I now participate in affiliate programs for Simon Says Stamp, Amazon, Ellen Hutson LLC, Scrapbook.com, Gina K, My Favorite Things, Ranger Ink, Hero Arts, and Blick Art Supplies. Buying through these links keeps your purchase price exactly the same, but I get remitted a percentage of your purchase, which helps me continue to run this blog and buy new stuff to show. It’s a win/win/win!
