Simon Says Stamp Dog & Cat Dress-Up

I was fortunate to receive a product from Simon Says Stamp’s new Fresh Bloom collection, Dog & Cat Dress-Up. I immediately knew what I was going to do with it. Lookie:

STINKIN’ CUTE! I was inspired by the wall of toys in the movie, ET. I decided I was going to use every single accessory included in this set, and I did! To do that, I had to use Simon’s very excellent masking paper and my MISTI. I stamped masks of all the stamps and two sets for the dog and the cat.

I stamped starting with the first row of animals, stamping accessories first, masking, and stamping the animals next. Then I did the second row the same way, etc. I colored them all with Copics, and then I laid my sky in with Simon’s Audrey Blue ink and a Life Changing brush. The last thing I did was add Sakura Clear Glaze pen over all the eyes and the sunglasses to make them shiny.

I love that Dog & Cat Dress-Up is such a fun set with a lot of uses with all the different sayings and accessories!

Below is my list of products that I used, and I have used compensated affiliate links where they were available, as I participate in the affiliate program for Simon Says Stamp.

Enjoy! Ta!

  • Since you have to stamp the accessories first so they are “on top”, how do you know where to place them? Do you use your masks of the dogs and cats for placement, then remove them before stamping the accessory? Love the card, by the way.

    • Yes, that’s exactly what I do, use the masks to help determine placement of the accessories and then remove before stamping.
