Penny Black Holly Jolly Critters
I colored this image, Penny Black Holly Jolly Critters, for The 30-Day Coloring Challenge earlier this month, and I made it into a card, but something about it bugged me.
But before I get into that, I want to let you know that Penny Black is all on sale at Scrapbook.com this week!

I decided that the animals walking through a white background was just not what was needed. So I grabbed some more Copics and colored this right on the card front. It made a difference! Lookie:
STINKIN’ CUTE! I love these critters! I used some paper from Penny Black’s Wintertime 6 x 6 pad on the card base.
I also, when I added the snowy sky, decided to make the lantern yellow, and that meant that there had to be gleams of yellow light on the high points of the animals bodies.
I added some Sakura Stardust to the candle flame, the star on the tree, the holy on the wreath, the ribbon on the gift, and on the letters of the greeting at the top.
A little bit of baker’s twine and some Doodlebug Glitter Sprinkles help finish this off nicely!
Below is my list of products that I used, and I have used compensated affiliate links where they were available, as I now participate in affiliate programs for Simon Says Stamp, Amazon, Ellen Hutson LLC, Scrapbook.com, Gina K, Hallmark Scrapbook, My Favorite Things, Sizzix, and Blick Art Supplies.
Buying through these links costs you nothing extra but gives me a small percentage of the purchase price, which helps support my blog and my artistic endeavors, and I thank you.
