Simon Says Stamp Stamptember Party! Big Picture Book Lion
Woohoo! I was privileged to receive a new product from Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember® 2018 collection, and today, I get to participate in the big STAMPtember® Party on multiple blogs today! I received the Big Picture Book Lion die, and I made two cards with this die to show you.
I’m also featuring this great gift promotion above. Use the code FREET55 with any purchase of $100 or more to get a free STAMPtember® T-Shirt! This is not the only promotion, so be sure to hop around to the different blogs participating in our party today for more promotions, which you can find on the Simon Says Stamp Blog!
STINKIN’ CUTE! For this birthday card, I wanted to create a card that had an African feel to go with an animal that comes from Africa, so I grabbed the Center Cut Burst background stamp and heat embossed with clear EP using Versafine Onyx Black ink.
I thought how fun it would be to put a circular greeting around the lion’s face, and so I grabbed Circular Sayings and heat embossed that on Burnt Orange card stock after I die cut it with the Big Picture Book Lion die.
The small greeting from the same set worked beautifully for the main greeting.
For my next card, I decided to do a baby card.
STINKIN’ CUTE! I wanted a super soft background for my baby card, so I decided to do a stenciled background with Festive Chevrons using my new Picket Fence Studios Life Changing Brushes and four colors of Simon ink.
The Cotton Candy card stock I used for the inside of ears was a little too pink, so I added some of the Duckling ink to help make it a little more peach.
Tilted Banner Sayings and the matching die made for the perfect greeting. I added some Hello Summer sequins including over the eyes for some soft shimmer.
I really love both of these cards! It was fun creating them with the new Big Picture Book Lion from the STAMPtember® collection from Simon Says Stamp!
Below are the products I used on these cards, and I have used affiliate links from Simon since I do participate in their affiliate program. Buying through these links costs you nothing extra and remits to me a small portion of the purchase price, which helps support my blog and my art, and I thank you. Don’t forget to use the code FREET55 to get a free t-shirt with a $100 or more purchase.
