GOJUS! I ended up using my Tim Holtz Stamp Platform to stamp multiple pieces of paper with different colors of Altenew ink because my MISTI had to go back to My Sweet Petunia for repair. This is really more of a warm pink than it looks, but I couldn’t get this particular photo to warm up without messing up the balance. I placed almost all the floral and leaf stamps on the lid of the platform, but I had a hard time getting a good impression because of the sheer surface areas of the stamps and the fact that there is no cushion under the card stock like there is in the MISTI. The piece of foam from the MISTI was too thick, and I was trying to think what I could use for a very thin cushion, when it struck me…SHOP TOWELS. I used one Shop Towel underneath my card stock, and suddenly i was getting perfect impressions. I stamped one piece for each color in the Rose Petal ink pad set.
I cut the word “LOVE” using the Caps Bold Alphabet dies from Altenew from the piece with the lightest color of ink, Rose Quartz. I laid it over the piece with the darkest color ink, Cosmic Berry, lining it up precisely so that the pattern carried through. But the letters didn’t show enough, so I used an ink blending tool to add some Puffy Heart ink, and then I could see the letters nicely.
I added some acetate behind the letters and used some white fun foam to create the box for my shaker pieces, which are the Deep Fuschsia sequin mix from Little Things from Lucy’s Cards, which is unfortunately retired, but I have linked up a similar combination below. I also glued a few to the front of the card.
I got the tag line from Love from Simon Says Stamp, stamped it in Versamark on black card stock and embossed in white and popped that up with some foam tape.
I love how simple this is but yet how rich! This is a more accurate photo of this color combination, which really does match the challenge!
