Paper Crafts Crew Challenge 264 – Lawn Fawn Costume Party
Welcome back to the Paper Crafts Crew Challenge! This week we have a color challenge:
I knew I wanted to use Costume Party from Lawn Fawn and the paper from Lawn Fawn, so I selected the beautiful turquoise/aqua that is in the Knock on Wood 6 x 6 paper pad as my mystery color. I also had bought the Lawn Fawn Shut the Front Door dies at the same time because who can have trick-or-treaters without a door?!?! I really had fun with this. Lookie:
STINKIN’ CUTE! I love that the woodgrain paper comes in a small grain and a larger grain in all the different colors. I had fun creating that door, which is made to open (though I stuck mine down).
I like to show that friends come in all colors on the cards I make, so I varied the skin tones on the trick-or-treaters. They are actually based on my daughter Laurel and some of her friends from college. I used Copics to color and the matching dies to cut out my trick-or-treaters (although I did trim down a bit on a few of the pieces because the die wandered in the Big Shot, despite the fact that I taped it down and had a magnetic platform.
I used a piece from My Favorite Things Blueprints 27 to create the greeting, double cutting with the die to create the right length.
I added a little Wink of Stella Clear in places to tie in to the Doodlebug Design Glitter Sprinkles up in the left corner.
This card was sheer fun from beginning to end!

Below is my list of products that I used, and I have used compensated affiliate links where they were available, as I now participate in affiliate programs for Simon Says Stamp, Amazon, Ellen Hutson LLC, Scrapbook.com, Gina K, Sizzix, and Blick Art Supplies. Stampin’ Up! links go to my BFF Wendy Weixler’s store, who does not pay me except in eternal friendship, but you can change to your favorite demonstrator if you prefer. Buying through these links costs you nothing extra and helps support my blog and my artistic endeavors, and I thank you.
If you are reading this in an email, you will have to click twice, once to get to the LinkDeli page and again to get to the shop of your choice.
