Riley and Company – A Poem for Mornings
It is oddly fitting that on this, the last day of the 2017 Summer Coffee Lovers blog hop, that I would be super stressed out and busy because of the recent cyber attacks that occurred a few days ago. This hit my main account as a transcriptionist, and now we are trying to complete dictations in a different way that takes much longer. Hopefully, they will get this hospital system up and running quickly. Obviously, I need more coffee!
I had wanted to make another card for the hop, but fate has interceded, and I’m going to be busy as all get out until at least a week from now. Yes, it’s that bad. As luck would have it, I had this one that I made quite some time ago and just never got around to blogging. It’s a bit simpler than my usual style, but really, there was nothing to do to it once the basics were there. It seems to totally express my morning today. Lookie:
I stamped this great poem from Riley and Company, and I chose to highlight portions of the text by stamping again on different colored card stocks and making it look like a ransom note!
I colored my little cat with coffee cup from Little Cat Agenda with Prismacolor pencils then cut him out by hand, but since then, Mama Elephant has come out with dies, so I have linked them below. I popped him up using a foam tab.
It’s so simple, yet so cute!
Below is my list of products that I used, and I have used compensated affiliate links where they were available, as I now participate in affiliate programs for Simon Says Stamp, Amazon, Ellen Hutson LLC, Scrapbook.com, Gina K, Sizzix, and Blick Art Supplies. Buying through these links costs you nothing extra and helps support my blog and my artistic endeavors, and I thank you.
